The Surat Diamond Bourse, as the complex is called, has a floor space of 660,000 sq m compared with the 600,000 sq m for the US armed forces’ celebrated headquarters.
The whole complex consists of nine interconnected 15-story towers containing 4,200 offices, serviced by 131 lifts, with speeds of 3m/s, and are surrounded by amenities such as conference halls, meeting spaces, restaurants, banks, and shops. There is also a customs house with a national diamond research institute, an international convention center, international education facilities, and five-star hotels.
Procuring and delivering the right solution needed for a project of this size and volume was one of the biggest challenges we have dealt with. Testing the application quality and performance of the solution provided by us was another huge and critical task on our hands.
The requirement was to get the construction chemicals for the Glass and Stone Facade of all the wings (buildings).We followed a very meticulous approach as we went ahead with assessing the need, determining the quantity, procuring and delivering the right quantity, and right quality at the right time.
The pandemic phase made it more challenging yet we succeeded in managing our timelines.
Additionally, we carried out testing for sealants application to ensure that the sealants provided by us are applied well for optimum performance.
Our team conducted detailed on-site inspections for 6 months to ensure the best results.
